About MegaPath Networks VPN Service

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Pleasanton, California, MegaPath is a business-class provider of business-class broadband connectivity and network services to small and medium-sized business, home offices and telecommuters in the US. MegaPath’s virtual private network service is a part of the company’s suite of network services.

The company says its VPN Security is for customers that need to connect to their network from more than location, protecting sensitive business data through encryption. MegaPath says businesses of all sizes can afford to implement the solution, and by using it can reduce the cost and complexity of deploying network security.

According to MegaPath, the VPN service is available as either as a solution enabled using customer premises equipment or as a managed service combining MegaPath’s service and rented VPN appliances. MegaPath VPN is built using the IPSec protocol and employs DES/3DES encryption

Starting at $59.90 per month, MegaPath VPN is affordable enough to be applicable to any business requiring security. The scalable solution can grow with a customer, says MegaPath, the VPN’s hub and spoke topology making additional configuration simple.

The VPN only service is designed for companies that have 10 or fewer nodes and an applicable router. The managed option is designed for businesses that have more than 10 nodes and lack the time to manage the equipment and VPN. In the managed option, MegaPath manages everything, including configuration, set-up, maintenance, upgrades and recovery.

MegaPath says its broadband network supports thousands of customers in more than 150 major metropolitan areas. The company says its success is built on its commitment to deliver the best customer care in the industry. MegaPath’s senior management team represents more than 150 years of combined senior-level industry and management experience.

Customers interested in finding out more about MegaPath’s VPN services can contact the company through its Web site (MegaPath.net), through email at [email protected] or by telephone at 1-877-MEGAPATH.
