About ClearPath Networks VPN Services

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, ClearPath Networks is a recent addition to the VPN marketplace with a new set of network based Virtual Private Network services designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses and the resellers, Systems Integrators and IT Consultants that support them.

ClearPath says its iVPN solution is a managed MPLS-based VPN solution with intelligence built into the network core, rather than at the customer premises, eliminating the need for additional costly equipment. This architecture benefits customers with a greater capability and reliability than a traditional hardware-based IPSec VPN. ClearPath’s network capability is delivered from the core of the company’s network to the customer’s site.

The solution uses ATM and MPLS technology, as well as a proprietary fully-integrated operational support system to provide automated provisioning, order management and customer account management.

The company owns a nationwide fiber optic ATM network powered by Cisco Systems MGX switches and 7000 Series routers. This network allows the provisioning and transport of different Qualities of Service (QoS) thereby allowing the deliver of data, voice and video over the same network. By consolidating its voice and data networks, customers can capture significant cost savings. ClearPath leases facilities from major competitive local exchange carriers, incumbent local exchange carriers and inter-exchange carriers such as Level 3 Communications, Southwestern Bell Corp. and WorldCom Communications.

iVPN solutions, says ClearPath, are monitored around the clock by ClearPath network operations staff, ensuring that data traffic will be secure and downtime will be virtually non-existent. Performance is guaranteed by strict SLAs. Customers have access, through a Web interface, to online network reporting including performance measures, as well as access to other managed services, including iMail, an intelligent approach to removing unwanted spam (junk e-mail) and virus infected e-mail messages.

ClearPath can be contacted through its web site at (clearpathnet.com), through email at [email protected], or by telephone at 866-GO-CPNET.
