Zone Labs, Imperito Deliver Small Business Security
March 28, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Zone Labs Inc. (zonelabs.com), a leading creator of Internet security solutions, and Imperito Networks, Inc. (imperito.com), developer of the InstantVPN solution, announced on Tuesday a joint development initiative to enable the integration of products from both companies.
The integrated solution, say the companies, will deliver higher levels of security to small- and medium-sized businesses building remote access VPNs by providing remote users with protected access to e-mail, shared files, company applications and printers over Internet connections from anywhere in the world.
Through the agreement, Zone Labs and Imperito Networks will work together in developing a combined remote access virtual private network and firewall solution.
"Internet security has become top-of-mind with a much wider group of people than ever before," says Frederick Felman, vice president of marketing, Zone Labs. "The continuing spate of security breaches drives home the seriousness of Internet security to every PC user. Imperito's powerful VPN solution combined with Zone Labs' firewall further tightens remote endpoint security from hackers and hostile threats."
Zone Labs’ products, including the Zone Alarm and Zone Alarm Pro Internet security utilities, are well known, with more than 17 million users worldwide. They have won multiple industry honors, including being named “Best Security Product” by the editors of PC World magazine.
Imperito Networks’ award-winning InstantVPN, says the company, is one of the simplest solutions to deploy in the virtual private networking market.
