WavePower.Net Completes Reverse Split, Changes Name
August 30, 2002 -- The board of directors of VoIP technology provider WavePower.Net Inc. announced on Thursday that the company has changed its name to TelcoBlue, Inc. and that its shares have begun trading on the over-the-counter market under the symbol TLCB.
The company also announced a five-for-one reverse split of its shares, reducing its total shares outstanding to 4.6 million.
Last week, the company announced an agreement to purchase Better Call Home Inc., owners of the marketing rights to a VoIP system that won Internet Telephony’s Product of the Year award this year.
The transaction, approved by a majority of WavePower.Net’s shareholders, is expected to close September 5, following the completion of due diligence.
The VoIP technology will be marketed as TelcoBlue, offering high-quality, low-cost telephone service from the US to certain high-traffic destinations. Users of the service can make telephone calls from their PCs to another PC, from their PCs to any regular phone, or from their phones to any phone using TelcoBlue’s Connectivity+ technology.
