VPN Tracker 2.0 Offers Mac OS X Certificates
June 1, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Security solution developer equinux (Equinux.com) announced on Wednesday that it has released the final version 2.0 of its VPN Tracker, incorporating the delivery of digital certificates to the Mac OS X community.
With support for certificate-based authentication, says equinux, the company ensures a scalable encryption system for greater identity protection in large-scale deployments and a safe method for distributing public keys.
"The innovative features of VPN Tracker 2.0 speak for themselves" said Till Schadde, equinux's CEO. "We've not only focused on the implementation of certificate support, but also concentrated on providing a graphically easy-to-use interface, including characteristics such as drag and drop to import and export certificates."
equinux says the certificates can be managed centrally through digital generation, signing and issuing, providing network administrators with flexibility, control and reliability for establishing user identities on the Internet.
