Vodavi Introduces IP-PBX Phone System
August 30, 2002 -- Business telecommunications solution provider Vodavi Technology Inc. (Vodavi.com) announced this week that it has introduced its Telenium IP, a LAN-based phone system.
The Telenium IP system, says Vodavi, affords small and medium-sized enterprises the same opportunity as larger corporations to take advantage of the trend toward converged business communications systems.
Vodavi says its 96-port Telenium IP delivers the same quality, reliability and functionality as its traditional key telephone systems, but lets businesses use their IP data networks to process voice communications applications.
According to Vodavi, the Telenium IP offers several benefits compared to conventional telephone systems, including reduced wiring costs, simplified administration, Web-based administration and distributed architecture.
"Vodavi, widely recognized for its 20-year reputation of building reliable real-time voice technology solutions, is delighted to extend its expertise into LAN-based solutions," said Gregory K. Roeper, Vodavi's president and chief executive officer. "We worked closely with our manufacturing and development partner, LG Electronics Inc. of Seoul, South Korea to ensure that the Telenium IP isn't just another new phone system. It is the first step in delivering all the key capabilities that an IP-PBX was touted to do in the IP telephony world."
