Verilink, InGate Offer Low Cost IP VPN
August 21, 2002 -- Intelligent WAN access solution provider Verilink Corporation (Verilink.com) and firewall developer InGate (InGate.com) announced on Tuesday that they are working together to offer SIP-enabled IP VPN solutions for enterprise applications.
"We are excited about working with InGate to offer the market an economical solution for implementing secure IP VPN solutions for remote access applications," says Bucky Garner, VP of marketing for Verilink. "By teaming with InGate, we are capitalizing on both companies' areas of expertise in order to offer the best solution for our enterprise customers."
Verilink says its new T1 access router provides network monitoring capabilities enabling customers to manage site-to-site performance, verify SLAs, reduce installation and diagnostic time and improve network performance. The InGate firewall, says Verilink, is the first SIP-capable firewall, making it especially well-suited to enterprises that want to access SIP-based communications like presence, instant messaging, audio and video conferencing and VoIP.
"We are very pleased to be working with a market-proven company like Verilink to deliver a complete networking solution that leverages our SIP- capable firewall and security technology," says Olle Westerberg, CEO of InGate. "InGate Firewalls are extremely flexible in terms of user support, and scale to meet the dynamic needs of evolving business applications."
