Ulticom Enables VoIP Services for Fujitsu
December 9, 2002 -- Signaling software provider Ulticom Inc. (Ulticom) announced this week that Fujitsu Limited is using Ulticom’s Signalware software in its GeoServe Signaling Gateway Server, a crucial part of its comprehensive softswitch solution.
The incorporation of Signalware into the GeoServe Signaling Gateway Server, says Ulticom, provides Fujitsu with access to Signaling System 7 (SS7) allowing the development of Voice Over IP services to generate new revenue streams for service providers.
Signalware was chosen, says Ulticom, because of its set of features including support for softswitch solutions and large library of global variants. Ulticom's Signalware facilitates network convergence and offers Fujitsu scalability and fault tolerance.
"Signalware continues to capture greater mind share among network equipment providers worldwide, as a key enabler of new IP-based services and circuit-to-packet convergence solutions," says Shawn Osborne CEO of Ulticom. "Industry leaders like Fujitsu rely on Signalware to support the complex signaling needs of their softswitch solutions."
Ulticom distributes its products in Japan through network hardware and software application distributor Macnica Networks Company.
