TruSecure Introduces Investigative Response
April 3, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- TruSecure Corporation (trusecure.com), a leading managed security services provider, introduced on Tuesday its new TruSecure Investigative Response service, an expanded offering designed to help companies find and prosecute those responsible for computer crimes.
Combining traditional incident response, computer forensics, analysis, prosecutorial decision support, network intelligence, IS/Recon and crisis management, says TruSecure, the Investigative Response offering emphasizes the growth and development of the company’s managed security services.
The new service, says TruSecure, stems from the company’s identification of significant demand for independent investigative analysis and a larger need for computer forensics services to support cyber-crime investigations.
"TruSecure Investigative Response guides companies experiencing insider abuse or external malice with assistance through a critical time of need," says Dr. Peter Tippett, chief technologist at TruSecure. "TruSecure's extensive law enforcement and investigative experience, coupled with our state-of-the-art computer forensics laboratory, allows us to both provide detective and protective action."
The service provides customers with training on incident response processes, an incident response policy, training on collecting and handling evidence, and a Phase I investigation designed to give customers the information they need to make a decision on how to proceed. If a customer decides to pursue an investigation, TruSecure’s service can provide an additional Phase II investigation.
The Investigative Response team, says TruSecure, is led by experienced researchers in the company’s Forensic Labs, who have experience working with customers, law enforcement, corporate legal departments and IT staff on civil and criminal investigations.
