TelestraClear Delploys Juniper Routers for Nationwide VPN
August 7, 2002 -- Network infrastructure provider Juniper Networks (Juniper.net) announced on Tuesday that New Zealand-based communications company TelestraClear is deploying Juniper ERX Edge and M-series Internet Routers as part of the expansion of its private IP broadband and metro networks.
The prime integrator for the solution, says Juniper networks, is Juniper distribution partner Ericsson.
TelestraClear’s Private IP service is designed to connect company data networks. The company picked the ERX router for this because of its support of the Martini draft standards for transparent virtual local area networks (VLANs) over MPLS.
"By widening the reach of Private IP, even more businesses will have access to a service which moves data, voice and multimedia over an affordable ultra-high speed network," says Thana Velummylum, chief of customer operations at TelstraClear. "While it takes a range of sophisticated systems to provide Private IP, it's delightfully simple for customers; just plug in and go."
