Telix Network Selects Mockingbird VoIP
March 25, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Mockingbird Networks (mockingbirdnetworks.com), a leader in voice over IP infrastructure solutions, announced on Thursday that Singapore-based Telix Network Pte Ltd. Has chosen and deployed Mockingbird’s Voice Services Infrastructure product suite for its international network.
"After looking at VoIP solutions from many vendors, we selected Mockingbird Networks because we felt their solution offered us the best of two worlds,” says Kai Shan Lim, Telix Network chief information officer. “To begin with, Mockingbird has demonstrated leadership in VoIP interoperability, a necessity today if one is going to succeed in the multi-national wholesale and retail markets in which we operate. Secondly, Mockingbird's integrated softswitch provides us with least-cost routing, policy server and quality of service features that give us an increased competitive advantage."
Mockingbird says the selection by Telix Network expands the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region and validates its vision of delivering an integrated VoIP platform based on open standards, multi-protocol and multi-vendor interoperability and manageability.
According to Mockingbird, its media services gateway, with its integrated SIP-based softswitch, makes it easier for Telix Network to interconnect with disparate networks as they expand, while delivering high quality at a managed cost.
Telix Network has installed Mockingbird’s Nuvo 200 media services gateways, along with its Impresaria CCB customer care and billing software and Impresaria Multi-Protocol Server.
The initial installations, by Telix Network of Mockingbird’s VSI suite are in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
