SSH Simplifies Remote Access for VPN Users
March 21, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- SSH Communications Security (ssh.com), a leading developer of Internet security solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has released version 1.3 of its SSH Sentinel virtual private network client software.
The SSH Sentinel software, says the company, is designed to provide flexible IP security for network communications. Version 1.3 increases remote access flexibility and advances interoperability, supplying the user with seamless network connectivity from any location, along with support for public key infrastructure solutions.

SSH's latest release of its Sentinel solution features breakthrough technology enhancements that make secure VPN connectivity from anywhere a reality for users."
According to the company, some of the new features added to SSH Sentinel 1.3 include “local-like” remote access with virtual IP addresses, interoperability with existing VPNs, access from anywhere with network access translation traversal support and easy authentication with hardware tokens and smart cards.
SSH Sentinel 1.3 was also recently certified as RSA Secured, indicating its compatibility with RSA Security’s digital certificate management software.
