SSH Licenses VPN Client to Fortinet
January 14, 2003 -- Internet security solutions developer SSH Communications Security (SSH.com) announced on Tuesday that network security company Fortinet has licensed the SSH Sentinel VPN client software for OEM use in its new Fortinet Remote VPN Client Software.
Available now, the Fortinet Remote VPN Client is compatible with the entire series of FortiGate Network Protection Gateways. The Sentinel-based VPN client, says SSH, is allows telecommuters, remote employees, mobile workers, internal users and business partners to establish encrypted IPSec VPN tunnels between Windows-based computers and sites using FortiGate Gateways.
According to SSH, the Sentinel was recognized in 2002 as "Best Internet Security Product" by SC Magazine readers.
"Telecommuting and remote access while traveling have become necessities for many people worldwide, however, they entail serious security risks," said George Adams, president and CEO of SSH Communications Security, Inc. "With SSH Sentinel, Fortinet's Remote VPN Client software offers customers a robust, easy to use, cost effective solution that provides strong security for seamless connectivity to the network from any location."
