Spirent, Cavium Enable IPSec/SSL Testing
April 15, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Security product developer Spirent Communications (Spirent.com) and security processing company Cavium Networks (Cavium.com) announced on Monday that they have formed a strategic partnership that will enable Spirent's security test and measurement products, Avalanche and TeraVPN, to use Cavium's NITROX Security Processors.
Spirent says its Avalanche and TeraVPN product lines are used by network equipment manufacturers, service providers and Web site managers to ensure that their devices and infrastructure excel in real-world network environments.
Cavium's NITROX Security Macro Processors are used by motherboard vendors and OEMs in a range of networking equipment to accelerate security applications like IPSec, VPNs, SSL VPNs, Web servers, load balancers, content switches, application firewalls, wireless gateways and routers.
"The marriage between Spirent's world class equipment and Cavium's security processors will enable a new breed of high-performance and feature rich networking equipment," said Jeff Twombly, VP of marketing and sales of Cavium Networks. "Working with a leader such as Spirent is a great validation of Cavium's products."
