SnapGear Appoints Australian Distributor
November 15, 2002 -- Internet security solution provider SnapGear (snapgear.com) announced on Thursday that it has signed a deal with Melbourne-based MPA Systems for the distribution of SnapGear’s VPN Firewall appliances and content-filtering services.
Value-added distributor MPA Systems is proficient in the configuration, supply, training, support and facilitation of wide area networks, says SnapGear, focusing on replicated sites. MPA Systems provides integration services for Internet gateways, mail servers, virtual private networks, Web storage and UNIX, Linux or Microsoft operating systems.
SnapGear says MPA targets application developers and integrators selling to SME markets, and sees virtual private networks as a growth area.
"We liked that the staff at MPA Systems work closely with their resellers to deliver an array of solutions to the marketplace,” says SnapGear’s VP of sales Peter Cronk. “We were impressed with both their pre-sales and post-sales support which is backed up by their industry experience and product deployment expertise."
