SMARTS Unveils IP VPN Management Solution
April 5, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Automated business service assurance solutions provider SMARTS (SMARTS.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched the InCharge IP VPN solution, a VPN management tool that uses SMARTS' InCharge Common Information Model and Codebook Correlation Technology to pinpoint root infrastructure problems affecting VPN services, and calculate their impact.
VPN management tools, says SMARTS, have traditionally operated separately from solutions that managed network infrastructure. The InCharge IP VPN solution, says the company, integrates and correlates the management of VPNs across all layers of the infrastructure. SMARTS says the solution offers customers capabilities for maximizing network and service availability and exceeding SLA commitments.
"Our customers have implemented some of the most complex, dynamic, and cutting-edge IT infrastructures on the market today -- and are trying to manage literally millions of network, system, application, database, and security elements from hundreds of vendors in real time," said SMARTS director of service provider marketing Darren Prince. "This complexity is further increased as they incorporate VPN management into this process -- in an attempt to fully understand what issues most impact VPN customers."
