ServGate Introduces Remote VPN Client Solution
November 21, 2002 -- Internet security gateway manufacturer ServGate Technologies Inc. (ServGate.com) announced on Wednesday that it has released the ServGate VPN Client v9, a Windows-based software solution for connecting to corporate network resources from remote locations.
ServGate’s VPN client, based on the SoftRemote VPN remote access client from SafeNet, protects both the remote user and the corporate network by creating an encrypted IPSec tunnel between the two. The ICSA-certified VPN Client operates on all major Windows operating systems and offers mobile users a variety of features for both dial-up and “always-on” connections.
"Secure, ubiquitous connectivity to corporate resources is mandatory in today's real-time business environment and SafeNet's SoftRemote delivers these requirements," says Dario Zamarian, ServGate's vice president of Marketing and Business Development. "SoftRemote allows both telecommuters and corporate 'road warriors' the flexibility to access the corporate network at any time, and from any location with Internet access. This is a powerful tool for organizations that rely on efficient and cost-effective secure remote access."
