SEQUI Launches IPSec VPN Gateway
March 28, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- SEQUI Inc. (sequi.com), a California-based developer of virtual private network solutions, announced on Tuesday the availability of the SEQUI VPN Gateway SE family, a series of IPSec VPN gateway appliances.
The SEQUI VPN Gateway SE family, says the company, is a series of four VPN tunneling gateways, based on the IPSec standard, designed to deliver secure Internet connectivity for mixed Ethernet and asynchronous infrastructures.
According to the company, the product is well suited for supervisory control and data acquisition applications, providing effortless migration of master terminal units and remote terminal units to the Internet and protected VPN data paths for communicating users.
The powerful security solution, says SEQUI, provides 168-bit Triple DES encryption and complies with IPSec and IKE VPN standards for tunneling and automated key management.
With Ethernet and serial interface ports to allow for plug-in connectivity, the product family supports 10/100 Base-T LAN and WAN connections as well as asynchronous RS-232 rates to 115.2 Kbps.
And designed with a built-in Web server, the products are easily configured and managed through any browser.
With four models of varying port types and tunnel capacities, and ranging in price from $1,500 to $2,250 per device, the SE gateway family, says SEQUI, can service any gateway ports or network requirements.
