SAVVIS Wins Expanded Moneyline Telerate Contract
October 10, 2002 -- Managed IP and hosting service provider SAVVIS Communications (SAVVIS.net) announced on Wednesday that it has expanded and extended its networking services contract with financial information and transaction service provider Moneyline Telerate (Moneyline.com).
SAVVIS says it provides Moneyline Telerate with privately managed IP VPN extranet services over 6,000 client connections in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
According to the new agreement, SAVVIS will become the exclusive network services provider for Moneyline Telerate, managing the company’s entire network through 2009. SAVVIS will also provide applications server management, including field service, help desk support and data warehousing. The companies will work together to develop new services for the financial community.
Maintaining the original $200 million agreement, the new contract creates new opportunities for revenue as the companies jointly market services.
"Moneyline Telerate continues to be one of our strongest and most valuable customers," says SAVVIS chairman and chief executive officer Robert McCormick. "We value their confidence in extending our contract, and are excited about forging an expanded agreement that will enable us to jointly extend our reach into the financial services marketplace. In addition, the new agreement will provide outsourcing opportunities that will further extend the global reach of the SAVVIS network."
