Savvis Supplies IP Network for TriVirix
July 29, 2002 -- Global managed IP and managed hosting services provider Savvis Communications (Savvis.com) announced on Monday that medical device contract manufacturer TriVirix International Inc. has chosen Savvis to provide managed IP VPN service for its offices in the US and United Kingdom, along with Savvis’s broadband Internet service.
Savvis says the managed IP VPN service will facilitate a number of key TriVirix applications, including a globally deployed SAP ERP system and Enterprise Portal Solution, secure data transfers, file sharing, corporate intranet, email and videoconferencing.
"With an employee and customer base spread across the world, we needed a door-to-door managed services solution that was competitive on price, but sacrificed nothing in terms of security, functionality or scalability," said TriVirix vice president, Information Technology Michael Labriola. "A key market differentiator for us is our AllianceNet customer information portal. AllianceNet, powered by SAP's Enterprise Portal Solution, gives us the unique ability to share schedule and manufacturing information with our customers and suppliers."
Competition for TriVirix’s business was intense, says Savvis, and the company considered several larger network suppliers in both the US and UK before deciding on Savvis.
