SafeNet Releases HighAssurance 2000
June 1, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Network security solutions provider SafeNet Inc. (SafeNet.com) announced on Wednesday that it has released HighAssurance 2000 gateway, a VPN Appliance designed to deliver network security for site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
Targeting medium to large office networks, says SafeNet, the HighAssurance 2000 Gateway delivers VPN security at 100 MBps full duplex, supporting up to 10,000 IPSec tunnels and up to 100,000 simultaneous secure connections using DES or 3DES encryption. SafeNet says the gateway operates at Fast Ethernet wire speed and allows seamless integration into existing network infrastructures.
SafeNet says the HighAssurance 2000 Gateway is the first IPSec VPN appliance to offer Secure IP Multicast, suited for broadcast and satellite networks. According to the company, the device is able to provide multicast sessions with authentication and encryption features previously unavailable to a VPN appliance.
"As part of our recently introduced SafeEnterprise Security System, the HighAssurance 2000 Gateway provides strong security for medium to large enterprises," said Chris Fedde, senior vice president and general manager, Enterprise Security Division of SafeNet. "With the addition of the HighAssurance 2000 Gateway, built on recently-acquired Cylink technology, to the SafeEnterprise Security System, large enterprises have flexibility and scalability to build networks with secure end points using high assurance security appliances."
