Riptech Named a Managed Security Leader by Gartner

(gartner.com) identified the company as a leader among managed security service providers.

The company provides a suite of services, including management, monitoring, analysis and response against suspicious activity across firewalls, virtual private networks and intrusion detection systems. Riptech’s Security Operations Center analysts correlate and analyze vast amounts of security data , through its proprietary technology platform, Caltarian, allowing them to quickly identify and defend against intrusions and malicious activity.

The company is also the author of the Internet Security Threat Report, based on empirical data collected from real attacks against over 300 companies in more than 25 countries.

Riptech says that it was placed in the upper right corner of the MSSP “Magic Quadrant,” identifying the analysts’ confidence in the completeness of the company’s vision, and its ability to execute that vision. The company also noted that of the two firms named “leaders,” Riptech is the only pure-play MSSP.

And Riptech says the confidence of the Gartner analysts is supported by the recent moves of companies like OneSecure, Predictive Systems and Para-Protect, who have all left the MSSP space to focus on core competencies, and in turn migrated their managed security customers to Riptech, using its service transition program.
