RagingWire Provides IP VPN for Photronics
September 18, 2002 -- Custom managed services and IT infrastructure provider RagingWire Telecommunications Inc. (RagingWire.com) announced on Tuesday that it is providing global IP VPN services to semiconductor industry solution supplier Photronics Inc.
According to the terms of the multi-year, multi-million-dollar contract, says RagingWire, the company’s on-net VPN solution has increased the availability and security of the connectivity between Photronics’ manufacturing and sales locations in Asia, Europe and North America.
Since implementing the RagingWire VPN solution, Photronics has reduced lead times to its customers, resulting in cost savings and better customer service.
"RagingWire has played a key role in optimizing Photronics' enterprise-wide network," said Shawn Knox, vice president of IT for Photronics. "As a result of consolidating and enhancing our global IT infrastructure, we are working more efficiently and have dramatically improved the reliability and security of our worldwide network operations."
