Quintum, bConvergent Partner in VoIP Solution

January 16, 2003 -- Voice over IP technology provider Quintum (Quintum.com) announced on Wednesday that its Tenor VoIP Multipath Switches are being bundled along with bConvergent's OpenVoice software and IP telephones to provide end users with full-featured IP telephony.

Target Distributing, says Quintum, is offering five pre-configured systems including products from Quintum, bConvergent, Polycom and D-Link, along with the ability for customers to configure their own systems.

bConvergent's OpenVoice open standards telephony software assures that the bundles remove customer concerns, by operating with any manufacturer's standards-compliant hardware, offering a Web-based interface, providing multiple site and remote management, ease of installation, scalability and multi-protcol connections.

Quintum says its Tenor addresses the concerns customers have with deploying VoIP. The Tenor's MultiPath architecture makes it easy to install. It's SelectNet feature assures voice quality by monitoring call QoS and switching calls to the PSTN when the IP network can not support a high-quality call.
