NTT America Extends IP VPN Service to Thailand
April 15, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Telecommunications company NTT America Inc. (NTT.com) announced on Tuesday that it has made its MPLS-based IP VPN services available in Thailand for multinational corporations doing business in the region.
With support for port bandwidth from 64K to 2M, says NTT, the service is designed to accommodate customer needs with excellent quality of service. The company is offering leased lines and frame relays for local access purposes.
In cooperation with the Communications Authority of Thailand, NTT provides MPLS-based IP VPN services in the area under the brand name "CAT-Arcstar IP-VPN Service."
"MPLS-based IP-VPN technology provides businesses with security of closed networks at an affordable cost," said David Ryan, executive vice president and chief operating officer of NTT America. "CAT-Arcstar IP-VPN service allows U.S. corporations expanded into the nation and operate in a secured network environment without making significant financial commitment to major facility build-out. This will provide companies much needed agility when expanding their business in overseas markets. The commitment to deliver service quality is also a big advantage to use this service."
