Norlight Announces IP VPN Service
June 1, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Norlight Telecommunications (Norlight.com) announced on Thursday that it has added IP VPN any-to-any service, designed to help customers create a private, fully-meshed network using frame relay or ATM and MPLS technology.
Using IP VPN any-to-any service, says Norlight, allows customers to reduce the complexity of their networks by using fewer permanent virtual circuits (PVC) than with traditional configurations. Customers will only need one PVC to each location, rather than multiple PVCs.
"For customers who'd like a higher degree of connectivity within their networks, IP VPN Any-to-Any can give them this without adding much complexity," said Kamlesh Sethi, Norlight's IP VPN any-to-any product manager. "In addition, the configuration can improve bandwidth efficiency and reduce network costs due to fewer PVCs."
IP VPN any-to-any service, says Norlight, will run over a customer's new or existing frame relay or ATM network, helping customers to save on capital investments, as no new equipment is required.
