NLynx Symplifies Remote Office VPN Implementation
October 2, 2002 -- IBM midrange and mainframe peripheral and connectivity solution provider NLynx (NLynx.com) announced on Tuesday that it has released the VPNLynx Concentrator and the VPNLynx Client software for VPN integration.
NLynx says the new additions to its line of network connectivity technology, as well as all of the company’s NLynx VPN solutions, allow organizations to securely transport data between corporate and remote offices through low-cost Internet connectivity, eliminating the need for private network systems.
"Companies have massive investments in routing and firewall hardware," says NLynx CEO Alan Humphrey. "The VPNLynx Concentrator protects companies' existing network infrastructure and eliminates the expense, productivity disruption, installation hassle and other overhead typically associated with migration to new technology. We provide an easy-to-install, open systems solution to upgrade their existing network, regardless of manufacturer, to standards-based, flexible Internet-enabled VPN technology."
The VPNLynx Concentrator, says NLynx, is a specialized version of the company’s recently released InterLynx/TS Firewall and VPN appliance, designed for companies that have already deployed routers and firewalls, but lack VPN capability. The VPNLynx Client software is a single user solution for mobile users requiring VPN capability. All of NLynx’s solutions use IPSec and 3DES technology for securing VPN transactions.
