NextiraOne Achieves Cisco VPN Specialization
August 26, 2002 -- Network solution and service provider NextiraOne LLC (NextiraOne.com) announced on Monday that it has achieved the VPN/Security Technology Specialization from Cisco Systems Inc. (Cisco).
NextiraOne says the specialization recognizes the company’s ability to plan, design, implement and operate Cisco VPN and security solutions.
"With the continued expansion of the Internet economy, customers are demanding robust security solutions, representing an excellent growth opportunity for our channel partners," says Surinder Brar, senior director of channel marketing for Cisco Systems. "By achieving our VPN/Security Technology Specialization, companies, like NextiraOne, have the training and knowledge to deliver scalable and reliable network security solutions."
In order to qualify for the specialization, NextiraOne had to meet testing criteria with each department of its staff, including account managers, responsible for selling the Cisco VPN/security solutions; systems engineers, who handle network planning and design; and field engineers, who implement and support the VPN/security solution.
"We are delighted that Cisco has recognized the commitment, dedication and technical skill that are the hallmarks of NextiraOne," said Jeffrey Hitchman, vice president, strategic alliances for NextiraOne. "As our partnership with Cisco continues to grow and the breadth our expertise in Cisco technology continues to be recognized, we can deliver the best results in the business for our clients."
