NetScreen Secures Interim HealthCare Inc.
March 19, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Network security solutions provider NetScreen Technologies Inc. (NetScreen.com) announced this week that home healthcare and staffing services provider Interim HealthCare Inc. has chosen NetScreen's integrated network security solutions to secure its network connections.
Interim HealthCare and its franchises, says NetScreen, provides care to almost 43,000 people on a given day, and manages an Internet-based communications network that provides company locations, regional offices and home healthcare workers access to critical applications for job dispatch, billing and daily payroll services.
NetScreen says Interim has replaced its frame relay-based networks with NetScreen's integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) solutions. According to NetScreen, the solutions enable Interim to use the Internet to securely connect its offices and employees to its business applications and email servers, instead of more expensive private networks.
At its primary data center, Interim has installed two NetScreen-208 devices, which provide high-performance firewall and VPN functionality, and denial of service protection. The company also uses the NetScreen-Remote Windows-based VPN client to provide secure dial-up remote access for field operations managers, and the NetScreen-Global PRO security management platform for central administration.
