Conxion to Deploy NetScreen VPN and Firewall Service
March 4, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- NetScreen Technologies, Inc. (netscreen.com), a leading developer of ASIC-based Internet security systems and appliances, announced on Monday that Conxion (conxion.com), a leading provider of high-performance managed hosting, has joined the Secured By NetScreen program.
The program is designed to help service providers deploy NetScreen services to their customers. The program will help Conxion deploy NetScreen-based VPN and firewall services to its managed hosting customers.
Conxion will use NetScreen’s integrated security products within its own managed and monitored firewall and VPN services. NetScreen says it was chosen by Conxion for its ease of use, high performance and broad feature set. Conxion, a company noted for its FailSafe managed hosting services, which have provided 100 percent uptime since 1996, will initially employ the NetScreen-100 and NetScreen-500 integrated firewall/VPN products.
"Security, redundancy, ease of deployment and high performance make NetScreen's products perfect for us," said Phil Simmonds, senior director of product marketing at Conxion. "As a fully managed service provider, our customers rely on us to integrate the best solutions for their business requirements, and the NetScreen products provide the wirespeed throughput and sub-second failover that our customers demand."
The Secured By NetScreen program is a sales, service and support program designed to share NetScreen’s security expertise with service providers as they roll out managed firewall and VPN services to their customers.
