NetScreen Signs Service and Support Agreement With IBM
March 2, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- NetScreen Technologies Inc. (netscreen.com), a developer of ASIC-based Internet security systems and appliances, announced on Friday that it has made an agreement with IBM Global Services (ibm.com/services), one of the world’s leading information technology services providers, designed to make IBM’s onsite support services available for NetScreen’s enterprise and service provider customers.
The agreement with IBM, says NetScreen, expands the company’s service and support offerings to include rapid hardware replacement for NetScreen products that secure mission-critical networks. NetScreen will take advantage of IBM Global Services’ thousands of service representatives throughout the US to offer its two new onsite support offerings: Next Business Day and 4-Hour Onsite Support.
"IBM Global Services is an excellent choice to provide our customers with world-class onsite support," says Walt Brown, NetScreen vice president of customer services. "The relationship with IBM Global services strengthens NetScreen's support infrastructure to continue attracting world-class customers like Yipes Communications. Through this agreement, we're able to support our customers with world-class service."
NetScreen and its partners, says the company, can now offer NetScreen service and support packages, provided by IBM Global Services through its existing infrastructure, to deliver onsite support for various NetScreen products and service level agreements. IBM’s parts logistics network and technical field force allow it to put technicians in close proximity to customer locations and efficiently deploy NetScreen replacement hardware.
