Neoteris, Sirocom Partner for Secure Access
April 28, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Secure application access vendor Neoteris Inc. (Neoteris.com) and virtual network operator Sirocom (Sirocom.com) announced on Monday that they have partnered in a deal to provide Neoteris's Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) secure remote access appliances as a Sircom managed service offering.
The companies say the partnership is the first of its kind in the industry, providing a managed service delivering the benefits of SSL-based appliance connectivity. The agreement allows Sirocom to broaden its Enterprise VPN suite of managed network services with Netoteris's SSL-based secure access appliance.
The Sircom managed service provides Web-based remote access to companies looking to provide remote offices, mobile workforces and business partners with access to enterprise resources and applications. Through the relationship, Neoteris's products are available to customers that prefer to purchase remote access as a managed service.
"Sirocom wanted to broaden the remote access solution set we offer our customers, so we looked at a number of the leading SSL-based appliances and managed services offerings available today," said Simon Rogan, managing director at Sirocom. "Neoteris was extremely responsive, and their technology proved to be the best at providing seamless access to the broadest range of applications and resources in a secure clientless manner. We received superb customer service when we tested their customer care function, and were entirely impressed with the whole organization throughout our evaluation process. We found the Neoteris IVE as a well-suited solution for what we deliver as a managed services offering."
