NEC BNS Receives Cisco Gold Partner Re-Certification
July 25, 2002 -- Network systems integrator NEC Business Network Solutions Inc. (NECBNS.com) announced on Wednesday that it has achieved Gold Partner re-certification from Cisco Systems Inc. (Cisco.com).
Gold certification is the top certification level for a Cisco partner, confirming its adherence to high standards for pre and post sales support. And, according to NEC BNS, the Cisco Gold Partner designation offers one of the highest levels of credibility in the marketplace.
"The purpose of our Channel Partner Program is to help channel partners succeed in the next market evolution of value-based business models," says Chuck Robbins, vice president of US Channels for Cisco Systems. "Gold Certified Partners deliver the highest level of support, have typically gained expertise in three specializations, and have achieved a measurable level of customer satisfaction."
In addition to the Gold Partner certification, NEC BNS says it has received a number of additional Cisco certifications, including IP Telephony Revised Specialization, VPN/Security Specialization, Wireless LAN Specialization, Voice Access Specialization, Internet Communications Software Group Partner and Advanced Technology Provider for Metro Optical Transport.
"NEC BNS exceeded Cisco's customer satisfaction objective while delivering Cisco's technology solutions to customers in the enterprise market," stated Bob Bliss, executive vice president of NEC Business Network Solutions, Inc. "NEC BNS is also one of the few Partners that brings to the market over three years of direct IP telephony experience as a convergence specialist."
