LANSleuth 6.0 to Support VoIP and VPN
March 7, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Software development company SSI Embedded Systems Programming (ssiembedded.com) announced on Wednesday the launch of version 6.0 of LANSleuth for Windows (lansleuth.com), equipped with more powerful network monitoring capabilities than ever before.
Among the new features included in the release are real-time session tracing, enhanced statstics tools, analysis functions for more protocols, including VoIP and VPN and Windows XP compatability.
LANSleuth 6.0 is designed for network administrators, hardware developers and software developers. The packet display window is a useful tool, says the company, for debugging software and hardware applications and troubleshooting network problems.
"Our users are expanding into several new areas - including Voice over IP and Virtual Private Networks. They want some tools that help them with configuration and session establishment problems,” says SSI President Michele Mordacq. “In addition, everyone has a heightened sense of security now. They want a tool that can help track who is on their network, and which applications are using the bandwidth. LANSleuth 6.0 can help with these issues."
SSI Says LANSleuth has effectively positioned itself as a competitor against other more complex and expensive network analyzing tools. The product now also offers a real-time display action that allows users to view contents of TCP/IP sessions.
LANSleuth 6.0 is available now for $649, while LANSleuth 6.0 with Token Ring is available for $949. The company is also planning for the upcoming announcement of LANSleuth 6.0 for Windows CE.
