Intrusion Supports VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX

March 28, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Enterprise security solution provider, Intrusion Inc. (intrusion.com), announced on Tuesday that it plans to support the newly released Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX technology with an upcoming release of the Intrusion PDS Series security appliances.

Released Tuesday, the Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX is the latest version of the company’s popular VPN and firewall platform, designed for large scale ISP and corporate data center operations.

The combination of Check Point’s VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX and the Intrusion PDS Series, says Intrusion, will deliver an ideal solution for service provider and corporate data centers, allowing for the management of multiple security policies from a single hardware platform.

The PDS family of security appliances, says Intrusion, combines high performance, scalable security appliances with Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 solutions to secure business communications and resources for a variety of extended network functions.

"We have consistently provided our ISP, MSP, and enterprise customers with the cost effective, purpose built solutions they demand," says Ryon Packer, vice president of product management, business development and marketing for Intrusion Inc. "The upcoming integration of Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX technology and the Intrusion PDS Series appliances provides MSPs and large corporate clients with an efficient way to create up to 100 separate virtual systems on a single security appliance."

Check Point says that it too is pleased to partner with Intrusion and to support the integration of its products into Intrusion’s PDS security appliances.
