Ingate, Quick Eagle Team for VPN Solution
April 22, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- SIP-capable firewall developer Ingate Systems Inc. (Ingate.com) and WAN access solution developer Quick Eagle Networks Inc. (QuickEagle.com) announced on Tuesday that they have formed an alliance, bringing together the companies' products to provide an end-to-end VPN solution for small and medium-sized businesses and branch offices.
The companies say their VPN solution combines the Ingate Firewall 1200 with the Quick Eagle 4231 Access Router to provide a fully featured VPN solution.
Along with its firewall functions, the Ingate Firewall 1200 is equipped with a VPN termination module that supports IPSec and PPTP protocols. With IPSec, the VPN module supports 3DES and AES encryption and MD5 and SHA-1 authentication. Ingate's VPN solution allows businesses to create up to 50 VPN tunnels for a secure connection.
According to the companies, the Quick Eagle 4231 Access Router completes the solution, using virtually wire-speed performance to connect branch offices over the Internet through fractional to full T1 links.
"This is an exciting alliance for Ingate Systems," said Steven Johnson, President of Ingate Systems Inc. "Our customers have been asking for a solution that provides them a complete solution from the WAN interface and the Quick Eagle router is an outstanding complement to our firewall. We are very excited about the possibilities that this offering provides for our customers."
