Infonet Launches IP VPN Secure

September 5, 2002 -- Global communications services provider Infonet Services Corporation (Infonet.com announced on Wednesday that it has launched its newest multi-class IP service, IP VPN Secure.

IP VPN Secure, says Infonet, operates on the company’s private IP infrastructure, using MPLS technology and offering four classes of service.

According to Infonet, IP VPN Secure offers clients the benefits of IP and an awareness of applications to support critical and non-critical applications in a secure, prioritized environment designed to allow the convergence of voice, video and data. The solution combines four separate classes on a single IP port, baked by service level agreements, allowing the classification of applications ranging from voice to email.

IP VPN’s other benefits, says Infonet, include simple, flexible pricing; any-to-any connectivity; secure network transport for an additional layer of security; Infonet’s network analysis program methodology; Web-based reporting with SLA reports for each class of service; and Cisco Powered Network accreditation.
