ICSA Labs Announces 2nd Quarter Certifications
July 23, 2002 -- ICSA Labs (ICSLabs.com), a division of TruSecure Corporation, announced on Monday that it has certified thirty-three IPSec, firewall, anti-virus, cryptography and PC firewall products in the second quarter of 2002.
ICSA Labs says its certification program provides assurance to the user community that certified products meet product standards accepted by the industry.
Companies added to the list of IPSec certified products, says ICSA Labs, include Allied Telesyn International, Cisco Systems, Lucent Technologies, SonicWall Inc., Symantec Corporation, WatchGuard Technologies Inc., Network Associates Inc., Linksys Group Inc., Nokia Corporation and ZyXel Communications Corporation.
Makers of firewall certified products added to the list include BorderWare Technologies Inc., CyberGuard Corp., WatchGuard Technologies Inc. and Microsecure Inc.
Symantec and Network Associates both added to the anti-virus certified list and PC firewall products list.
"ICSA Labs is the central authority for security product testing and certification," says George Japak, vice president of ICSA Labs. "In these challenging times, when confidence in your security product purchasing decisions can be difficult, using the ICSA Labs certification as a requirement can significantly reduce your risk."
ICSA Labs says more information about the certification can be found at its Web site, along with vendor product, version and build numbers. The company says it sets its standards for certification by performing extensive research and tracking and measuring risks.
