Graybar Enterprise VoIP System Sales Increase
August 28, 2002 -- Communications and data networking distributor Graybar (Graybar.com) announced on Wednesday that it has posted an increase of 15 percent in sales of VoIP systems and components in the first six months of 2002, compared to the same period last year.
The company also announced that it has added Ericsson Enterprise VoIP communications systems, components and equipment to its portfolio of products and services, which already includes VoIP systems from 3Com Corporation and the privately-held Mitel Networks.
Graybar says it sells systems to communications and data contractors, who install them for small and medium businesses and other organizations like universities, primary and secondary schools and non-profits.
"The 15 percent increase in VoIP sales we posted for the first half of this year is evidence that, despite the telecom downturn, small and medium businesses and enterprises continue to make capital investments in their communications networks," says Al Eddings, vice president, Comm/Data Products, Graybar. "And the addition of Ericsson VoIP gear reinforces Graybar's commitment to helping our customers’ power and network industrial facilities and offices with speed, intelligence and efficiency."
Graybar’s portfolio of VoIP products and services currently includes the 3Com SuperStack 3 NBX networked telephony solution and NBX 100 communications system; the Mitel Networks 3100 integrated communications platform; and Ericsson Enterprise’s WebSwitch 2000.
