Global IP Sound Announces Deals Across VoIP
October 4, 2002 -- Embedded voice processing technology developer Global IP Sound (GIPS) (GlobalIPSound.com) announced on Wednesday that it has signed agreements with BRECIS Communications, Marratech and Pocket Presence as well as joining the Intel Personal Internet Client Architecture Developer Network.
The new agreements, says GIPS, strengthen the company’s position as a leading provider of embedded software for telco-grade voice quality in VoIP products by integrating the company’s GIPS SoundWare into systems hardware and key conferencing and wireless applications.
"Global IP Sound is making significant strides in its strategy to deploy its advanced sound processing technologies at the silicon, board, gateway and application layers," said Gary Hermansen, president and CEO of Global IP Sound. "With these recent customer wins and new relationships we now touch every point across the value chain, and we look to continue broadening our reach to provide VoIP users with superior sound quality, inside and outside of managed networks."
GIPS says the products of the new agreements will include collaboration with a networking chip developer, deployment of GIPS SoundWare in an e-meeting software suite and integration with a wireless VoIP client.
