Genuity VoIP Wins TMC Labs Award
July 8, 2002 -- Internet infrastructure service provider Genuity Inc. (Genuity.com) announced on Tuesday that it has received the TMC Labs Innovation Award for its enterprise voice over IP service, Black Rocket Voice.
The TMC Labs Innovation Awards, says Genuity, announced along with Internet Telephony magazine, are designed to recognize the products and services that demonstrate innovation, unique features and significant contributions to the improvement of communication technology.
Black Rocket Voice service, says Genuity, integrates voice and data traffic onto a single multi-protocol IP network infrastructure using the company’s IP backbone.
"Black Rocket Voice is a tremendous advancement in converged voice and data technology and one of the most innovative communication and business continuity solutions on the market today, "said Joe Farina, president and chief operating officer at Genuity. "This award further validates the high-quality, innovative and reliable services that we are bringing to market, and truly reflects the hard work put forth by our employees."
Black Rocket Voice is an extension of Genuity’s existing Black Rocket eBusiness Network Platform, which includes Internet access, managed hosting and security, IP transport and now next-generation communication services.
