Flash Networks Used in Sprint Wireless IP VPN
July 25, 2002 -- Wireless data optimization infrastructure solution developer Flash Networks (Flash-Networks.com) announced this week that communications company Sprint (Sprint.com) has chosen the company’s NettGain product to enable its managed wireless IP VPN service.
NettGain, says Flash Networks, will enable Sprint to offers secure wireless access to corporate information. Using the solution, mobile workers can connect to email, corporate data and the Internet using a data-capable phone or wireless modem card and Sprint’s managed Wireless IP VPN service.
User-friendly and compatible with all network types, says Flash Networks, the integrated solution can be scaled to grow with expanding customer needs and support thousands of users.
"We chose NettGain technology as a best-in-class solution to dramatically improve the performance and effective speed of wireless data transmission of our Managed VPN service. NettGain will expand the throughput, increase available bandwidth and create a wire-line experience." says Barry Tishgart, director of Data Product Management, Sprint. "We expect the offering to be very successful."
