Filanet Announces Next Generation Telecommuting Solution
August 16, 2002 -- Network service appliance provider Filanet Corporation Inc. (Filanet.com) announced this week that it has released its next generation solution for telecommuters, the InterJak 300 Service Appliance.
Filanet says the InterJak 300 combines advanced managed security features for commuter access with a range of services designed to let telecommuters operate easily beside their family network.
The InterJak 300, says Filanet, allows safe and secure telecommuting with built-in firewalls, advanced authentication and VPN. The product provides for home networking, but isolates corporate and family networks from each other while allowing them to share a single Internet connection.
"The InterJak 300 introduces a new breed of telecommuting that combines increased security and connectivity with the level of control that corporations need to boost home worker productivity," says Skip Glass, CEO of Filanet. "This new approach to telecommuting, keeping the corporate and family networks secure and separate, is already popular in Europe where the culture of telecommuting has deep roots. We'll all benefit as the US adopts this model to help telecommuting reach its true potential."
