Fiberlink Signs Deal With Infonet to Extend Remote Access Services
August 10, 2002 -- IP VPN provider Infonet Services Corporation (Infonet.com) announced on Thursday that it has entered into an agreement to extend the managed remote access services of network solution provider Fiberlink.
The deal, says Infonet, provides Fiberlink and its customers international coverage and a redundant global network for corporate remote access.
According to Infonet, the partnership will allow Fiberlink to offer more international locations from which its customers can connect to their corporate networks. The increase, says the company, will translates into more convenient network access for domestic and international mobile workforces and additional in-country access services.
Corporations using Fiberlink’s Global Remote in Europe and Asia, says Infonet, will be able to take advantage of the international coverage immediately, through automatic updates to Fiberlink’s VPNterprise platform.
"Infonet and Fiberlink share a common goal. We provide superior communications services to our corporate clients, regardless of their location," says Marc Patterson, vice president of mobile workplace solutions for Infonet. "Our continued partnership with Fiberlink will enhance our ability to service a wider range of corporate clients with a widening range of access capabilities."
