Equant Strengthens Stream International Relationship
September 27, 2002 -- Global IP and data services company Equant (Equant.com) said on Thursday that it has signed a contract extension with customer relationship management service provider Stream International Europe BV.
Under the renewed contract, Equant will provide Stream International a customized IP VPN solution. Equant says its MPLS-based service offers a fully managed IP VPN with five differentiated classes of service.
According to Equant, Stream is planning to use Equant Voice for IP VPN in its call centers, enabling them to respond to technical support calls from end users based on language requirements. Stream is also investigating the possibility of deploying extranets for its customers.
"With Equant's unique networking solution, Stream International is able to achieve better internal efficiencies and cost savings," said Detlef Spang, head of Western Europe Markets and Sales, Equant. "Equant IP VPN will ultimately help Stream International maintain its competitive edge with the security of a private network and the scalability to adapt to today's ever-changing environment."
