DigitGlobal Picks Verso for First VoIP Phase
April 16, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Integrated communications solutions company Verso Technologies Inc. (Verso.com) announced on Wednesday that it has been chosen to support the first phase of a VoIP network build-out for multinational service provider DigitGlobal Communications.
According to the terms of the agreement, Verso will provide a software-based VoIP switching platform, Class 4 telephony applications and a provisioning and billing system, as well as ongoing technical support for the first phase of DigitGlobal's new calling card network.
"Our competencies in software-based switch technology, telephony applications and technical support enable us to address DigitGlobal's initial deployment needs with an eye towards their future growth strategy," said Steve Odom, chairman and CEO of Verso. "Our NACT solutions are designed specifically for emerging and high growth service providers who need to roll-out new services quickly and at the lowest cost structure possible. Then, as our customers' business grows, our platforms can be easily upgraded to handle more volume or provide new services as their customers demand."
