Colt Telecom Deploys Lucent VPN Firewall
March 17, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Networking technology solutions developer Lucent Technologies (Lucent.com) announced this week that it has provided COLT Telecom Deutschland with its VPN Firewall Brick 20 and 80, enabling the service provider to expand its range of managed firewall services for small businesses.
The devices have been installed in COLT security operations centers in Frankfurt and Berlin, allowing the company to offer managed firewall services to customers across Germany. Lucent says COLT chose the Lucent VPN Firewall solution because of its high performance and reliability.
"Our security solutions fit in seamlessly with customer network architecture, securing the most critical points of company communication", said Timon Lutze, customer group leader for Lucent Technologies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "There is a continuing market demand for efficient, reliable and cost-effective security solutions. These solutions provide a secure environment both for service providers and their end customers. Last year, Lucent launched a campaign called 'Hacker Denied' campaign. This is an example of how we continue to make companies more aware of loopholes in their security."
