Check Point Extends Remote Access and Branch Office VPNs
September 25, 2002 -- Internet security organization Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (CheckPoint.com) announced on Wednesday that it has introduced a new set of management capabilities for integrating its Safe@ product family with its enterprise management solution SmartCenter.
The extended solution, says Check Point, will allow enterprise customers to quickly and easily deploy Safe@ security to remote employees and branch office sites.
"Enterprises need to protect offices of all sizes -- including small branch offices and home office workers," said Carol Stone, vice president of marketing, Check Point Software Technologies. "Now, with the integration of Safe@ into SmartCenter, enterprises can seamlessly and very cost-effectively incorporate branch offices and remote employees into their security landscape and manage everything from one location."
The SmartCenter management of the Safe@ product family includes profiles for grouping gateways based on common requirements; VPN communities for including Safe@ appliances in remote access and site-to-site VPN communities; 'Pull' technology for automatic security policy updates; SmartMap for graphical depiction of a security deployment; and SmartView Tracker for centralized auditing of Check Point solutions.
