Cable & Wireless Wins Moldflow IP-VPN Contract
March 24, 2003 -- (FIND VPN) -- Global telecommunications group Cable & Wireless (CW.com) announced on Monday that it has signed a contract to provide global IP-VPN services to Moldflow Corporation, a supplier of software solutions for the design, analysis and manufacture of injection molded plastic parts.
Under the new contract, Moldflow, already a customer of Cable & Wireless's managed hosting services, will use Cable & Wireless' IP-VPN Internet solution to connect 15 locations throughout the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company says its IP-VPN services provides a cost-effective network solution that uses encrypted tunnels to form a secure VPN, interconnecting multiple customer sites.
Cable & Wireless says connectivity is critical to employees, customers and partners of Moldflow, which operates offices around the world, and conducts a significant amount of business in Europe and Asia. Cable & Wireless says its Wireless IP-VPN Internet will enable Moldflow to provide secure, reliable access to those employees, customers and partners.
"Cable & Wireless is uniquely suited to meet the growing market demand both for managed hosting and IP network service solutions," said Simon Cunningham, chief executive officer, Cable & Wireless America. "Our relationship with Moldflow is an excellent demonstration of the way Cable & Wireless' infrastructure, experience, and staff expertise can serve multi-national enterprises requiring global reach and a reliable, secure IP-VPN solution."
