Avnet, Cylink Partner for Enterprise Security

July 22, 2002 -- E-business security provider Cylink Corporation (Cylink.com) and IT infrastructure architect Avnet (ES.Avnet.com) Enterprise Solutions announced on Thursday that they have signed a channel agreement designed to benefit both businesses through sales and marketing programs, business development and operations.

Avnet’s commitment to the Cylink Channel Partner Program, says Cylink, will help customers that need to protect and manage the access, privacy and integrity of information, extending Avnet’s existing services.

Avnet says the Cylink program will allow the company to deliver services deliver services like security management, WAN encryption, VPN and SAN security.

"With offices throughout the US, Avnet Enterprise Solutions will be a vital partner for Cylink's domestic Channel Partner Program," says Dan Permenter, Cylink’s regional vice president, Americas Channel Development. "Cylink will be able to provide Avnet customers the most comprehensive family of network and storage security systems, which includes ATM, frame relay, leased line, and IPSec VPN encryptors, as well as offer their end users the benefit of working with certified, knowledgeable security experts."
